I have recently been diagnosed with stage 1B3 cervical cancer. I started having problems back in mid December. I’ve tried to be very proactive in getting all the tests done to get to this point. I feel like we caught it early enough. The mass on my cervix is about 6cm or the size of an orange. They say I’m not a candidate for a hysterectomy. Too many risks. The PET scan did show some uptake in my iliac lymph nodes and some nodules on my lung with little to no uptake. They feel like it’s not anything to delay or change my current treatment plan but will monitor those closely. I start my first chemo treatment Tuesday, March 25th. I will do 6 weeks of chemo that will most likely cause me to lose my hair. And 6 weeks of another type of chemo with radiation 5 days a week. We will be driving a to the city for treatments (about 74 miles one way). My husband is having to take off work to take me. He will be missing it on a lot of work and I may have to temporarily close my shop as well. We are asking for a little help with gas, bills, meals, etc. I truly appreciate those of you who have prayed, reached out, and helped us in anyway. From the bottom of my heart thank you.
