On June 3rd, my life changed completely. An apartment fire left my (now) 18-month-old son and me displaced with nowhere stable to go. Since May, we’ve already had to move five times, and tomorrow, we’re facing yet another move — this time into a family shelter — unless we can secure temporary hotel housing.
The constant moving has taken a deep toll — mentally, physically, and emotionally — on both of us. My son is still so little, and the instability has been incredibly hard on him. No child should have to go through this kind of disruption during their most crucial years of development.
We finally have some hope: a new apartment is lined up, and the realtors and housing agencies are working together to finalize everything. But as is often the case with paperwork and coordination, inspections, it’s taking time. We're expecting to move in on or before the 15th of September, but until then, we’re stuck in limbo.
I’m asking for your help to cover the cost of a hotel stay for at least two weeks so that my son and I can avoid going into a shelter. Just a bit more of breathing room — some peace, a clean bed, and a little stability a bit longer — would mean the world to us during this incredibly difficult time.
If you can donate or even just share, it would make all the difference.
With love and thanks,
Anastasia
