My cat Pumpkin needs a full mouth extraction due to a severe condition called feline stomatitis, and the total cost is $5,000. Stomatitis is a painful, chronic inflammatory disease of the mouth where a cat’s immune system overreacts to plaque and bacteria, causing extreme swelling, ulcers, and sores in the gums, tongue, and throat. It makes everyday things like eating, grooming, and even opening the mouth incredibly painful.

Pumpkin’s stomatitis has gotten so bad that it affects his daily life. He struggles to eat and is in pain most of the time.

Right now, the only way to manage his pain is through monthly steroid injections, but these are not a long-term solution and can eventually cause serious side effects like diabetes. The only real and lasting treatment is to remove all of his teeth, which sounds drastic, but it often gives cats with stomatitis their lives back and allows them to live pain-free.

I rescued Pumpkin from the freezing cold a year ago after our neighbors moved and threw him in the street. I didn’t know then all the medical challenges he would face, but I couldn’t leave him outside to suffer. He trusted me to save him, and now I’m trying to do everything I can to give him a life without constant pain.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to cover this surgery on my own. I’m asking for help so Pumpkin can get the care he desperately needs and finally be comfortable again. Any support—donations or sharing—means the world to us.
