Help us Afford Life Saving Vet Care for Sherlock
Donation protected
Sherlock is my precious, affectionate cat who means more to me than anything else in the world. Recently we had to rush him to the emergency vet because he had a urinary blockage, which is fatal if not removed. Urinary blockages are unfortunately more common in neutered male cats and those who experience them will most likely block again, which is what Sherlock is showing symptoms of doing. Since we brought him home from the vet he has still not been able to pee. His first vet bill for minimum treatment was $861.96. This included emergency exam fee, Urinalysis, sedation, fluids, catheterization, anesthesia, hospitalization, and pain medication administered both in the hospital and at home. When we take him in again we will pursue more aggressive, and therefore expensive, treatment. He will require all of these things as well as several days stay in the vet ER to monitor his condition and progress. If this still does not fix the problem he will require surgery to widen his urethra, known as a perineal urethostomy.
Every little amount counts but don't feel pressured to donate. If you can share I'd also really appreciate that. thank you for reading.
