Welp, contrary to my original belief, here I am making a GoFundMe. Just when life was starting to get together and I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about this stuff anymore.

I recently got a letter, summoning my mom, little sister, and me to immigration court to defend our case and appeal an allegation accusing us of overextending our stay within the country. Now, some of y'all might know, but I am already due process for becoming a US resident, but my mom and sister are not. And even then, the government shutdown has basically eaten up all the precious time, enough for the government to grow a suspicion about my family and me, even if we are due process.

We must go and present with an attorney, and the process of getting an attorney will cost us $3K collectively. Now, I’m not one to ask for help, especially when I have gotten help from plenty of people already in the past, but the main reason is because I’m trying to make my mom’s health condition improve. She isn’t in a condition to overwork herself, even if we need the attorney, and I would like to have my mom around a bit longer.

You are not obligated to help me; after all, this is not your issue. But I can’t do this alone. My plate is already overloaded enough that I had to cancel several plans I had for this year. I have to attend court in 2 weeks, so I’m kind of stuck with a deadline as well. So I kindly ask you to donate if you can or share so it can reach more people. I’m not doing this just for my sake but for the sake of my family as well.
