Help us afford heating and groceries this Winter

Hello, my name is Mike! My father unexpectedly passed away a few months ago, and we are struggling to meet basic life needs without his income.

I live with my 10-year-old sister, mother, and grandmother. My mother and I are the only ones in the household physically capable of working, but I want to pursue higher education and my mother has a disability that keeps her bedridden on bad days.

Our family already avoids the additional costs of eating out, subscriptions, and entertainment (games, movies, vacations); however, after subtracting the cost of transportation, insurance, etc., the money for groceries still falls short.

This week the temperature is dropping to single digits, but our old water heater broke and it costs 1.5k to replace it.

We have started selling my father's possessions for extra money, but as his passing was very recent, we are reluctant to do so.
