Around 4 PM on February 11, Ella Ward was brutally dragged from a car and beaten by girls who were supposed to be her best friends. While many many other people stood by and cheered and laughed and video taped the beating. She was left blacked out on the ground to get up and try to figure out a way to get someone to help her. Her friends did this to her,
after all. 

Her mom, Ursula Ward, is a single mom who works hard to support herself and her
daughter.  At the time of the assault, she was over two hours away on a job site working.     She called me to go be with Ella and check      her to make sure she was ok until she could   be there.   After I looked her over, and heard her heart breaking story, I called Ursula to  make sure it was ok to take her in to be checked out.   She urged me to take her, even though she knew this would be an extra expense she simply didn’t know how she would pay. 

This GoFundMe is set up to help Ursula pay medical expenses as well as to hopefully retain an attorney to pursue battery charges against those involved.  So far nothing has been done as far as we know legally, even though Ursula flagged down a policeman to come with her to the ER.
