Urchin, our neighborhood cat, needs help! He was in pain and having trouble breathing Sunday so we took him to MetroPaws. They were unable to drain the fluid that was preventing him from breathing so they recommended a transfer to MedVet. They were successfully able to drain the fluid and concluded he has a severe infection. They currently have him on 24 hour observation, chest tube, catheter, oxygen, sedation, antibiotics plus diagnostic tests. We’ve currently spent about $10,400 and if medical management isn’t successful he will need surgery that will cost an additional 8-10k. We love this little guy so much. He’s not only become a big part of our daily lives but is also well known by our neighbors as a sweetie who likes visiting different homes whether it’s for multiple meals, treats, hanging out on their porch after work, or watching us garden. We would be so incredibly grateful for any help!
