Help uplift the Muir family during illness

Donation protected
Hello my name is CaSondra and I am posting this on behalf of my Aunt Carrie. This woman is one of these most strongest, kind hearted, humble, selfless, patient, giving women I know and would give her last dollar to anyone who needed it. Due to unfortunate sudden illness that has affected not just her but her immediate family as well they are now in the position of needing assistance. Everything from money to prayer is appreciated in every way shape or form. Below I have shared some words from Aunt Carrie that can better help explain the situation.

In June I was on a cruise celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary with James. We had saved up throughout the year to go have this special time. Little did I know just over a month later our lives would severely change. I haven’t shared a lot of what has been transpiring in our lives. I never want to burden anyone one with my families circumstances because I know everyone has their own circumstances that they carry.

August 5th I was rushed to the hospital from my doctor’s office. After a several night stay full of tests and scans I was discharged with Functional Neurological Disorder. FND refers to a neurological condition caused by changes in how brain networks work, rather than changes in the structure of the brain itself, as seen in many other neurological disorders. Symptoms include Seizure-like episodes, Movement problems, Problems with cognitive function, Dizziness, Speech difficulties, such as sudden onset of stuttering or trouble speaking, Problems with vision or hearing, Pain (including chronic migraine), Extreme slowness and fatigue,Numbness or inability to sense touch specifically on my entire left side. During the seizure like episodes my brain forgets how to breath. My long term memory is intact but my short term memory is extremely impacted.

I was also diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension due to the optical nerves of my left eye being tangled. IIH condition that occurs when pressure inside the skull increases for no obvious reason.
Symptoms mimic a brain tumor, but no tumor is present. Symptoms include headache behind the eyes, ringing in the ears in time with the heartbeat, and brief episodes of blindness, doubled or blurred vision. There are no warnings for when my sight will be affected and the headaches and eye pain significantly impacts my abilities. Due to FND and IIH my doctor took me off work and I am unable to drive.

Last week I was told that I also have Left anterior descending (LAD) artery distribution ischemia which is a condition that occurs when there is a reduction in blood supply to the front of the heart due to a blockage in the LAD artery. LAD leads to Widow-maker Heart attacks. I’m waiting on the call for a heart catheter procedure to see how bad the blockage is.
My OBGYN also found several major issues that will require hysterectomy surgery in the next 2-3 months that will need 6-8 week recovery time.

Being unable to do my job has taken a financial toll on my family and an emotional toll on me as I love being a Guardian, ADEC, my coworkers, and every individual I am blessed to serve. James disability pays some of our bills but I was the bread winner for our family. We have paid everything we can and we have cut everything out that is possible, but are now up against the wall. We have utilized the assistance we can.

So I write this for two reasons…
#1: in hopes someone may feel lead to give to help us. If so you can give on Cash App at $CoffeeCareBear or Apple Pay. If you would like to mail something or send it another way please private message me.
#2: to ask you to join my family in prayer believing for continued answers for my health, peace, and protection.

Please feel free to share. The Muir family appreciates your support and love. ~Carrie A.K.A CareBear
