Support Mindy Through Her Fight AgainstStage 4 Breast Cancer

“Do you have time in your schedule to take pictures of me with the kids before I lose my hair or have surgery?” A gut punch to hear a sentence like that from someone in your family. Especially after we already lost a cousin to cancer. But that’s a story for another day.

My name is Ashley, I’m a photographer in WNY and about a month ago my cousin Mindy asked me that question. So, let’s rewind a little bit and I’ll introduce you to Mindy Heath.

Mindy is a stay at home mother to 4 children, to which she also homeschools. Her husband David is a self employed logger. They’re active in their church and just all around good people. In the beginning of September, Mindy was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She’s been told that her form of cancer is pretty aggressive and it will require chemo & a double mastectomy surgery.

As you can imagine, this is a huge weight to carry mentally as a mother to be strong for your children — but also financially. David has been by Mindy’s side for every appointment, but this also means that he isn’t able to make any income during that time.

Any donations would be going towards gas for the multiple trips back and forth for treatment, medical bills, and anything that the kids would need as well.
