As-salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
I’m Abdulhaseeb speaking and I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but here I am, reaching out to my brothers and sisters in islam during this blessed month of Ramadan—a time when Allah opens the doors of mercy, forgiveness, and giving.
I was a student of knowledge, pursuing Islamic studies with the hope of benefiting myself and the Ummah. But life took an unexpected turn. Financial struggles forced me to pause my studies and take a gap. In an effort to stay afloat, I began working as a food delivery driver, but with the rising costs of living and unexpected expenses, I found myself in overwhelming debt.
$1,725 in student-related debt that halted my education.
$4,281 in credit card debt from necessary car repairs and car payments.
$1,127 in overdue rent, putting my home at risk.
Despite my efforts to stay afloat, the burden has become overwhelming. But I believe in the generosity of this Ummah and in the promise of Allah for those who support a brother in need.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever relieves a hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve a hardship from him on the Day of Judgment."
(Sahih Muslim 2699)
This is my hardship. And I’m praying for relief through the generosity of this Ummah. If you’re able to give, even a small amount, know that it will lighten my load and bring me closer to standing on my feet again.
This is a chance for you to earn immense rewards in Ramadan, when deeds are multiplied. Even a small contribution can help lift this burden and allow me to get back on my feet.
May Allah bless you, multiply your rewards, and grant you ease in both worlds.
Jazakum Allahu Khayran.
