Help Update the Space at Oakleaf Cakes!

Hello! We are Oakleaf Cakes Bake Shop, a café and custom cake shop located in Boston, MA. As of November 2022, Oakleaf has changed management and is headed toward a new and improved direction. Oakleaf Cakes was founded by MassArt and Berklee alums, Amanda and Tyler Oakleaf. They progressively grew out of their apartment and their shop in Winthrop, finally placing them on Westland Ave in Boston. After deciding to step back from the business to grow their family in 2022, Oakleaf is now in the hands of Julie Lyon and Mike Wellen, graduates of MassArt and Cambridge Culinary.

We are raising funds to support this transition of new ownership by renovating the bakery’s café and back-of-house equipment. This much-needed renovation is to bring life and energy back into Oakleaf Cakes, as we are located by Berklee, Symphony Hall, Northeastern, and MassArt. We want our business to match the passion that we put into our incredible cakes and delectable pastries every day. We appreciate the relationships we’ve built with our customers, and we want to show our appreciation by having a space for customers and employees to enjoy.

After repainting our café walls and giving our chipped tabletops an updo, we still have so many more projects we would like to complete in this transitionary period. These funds will be used as follows:

1. New seating/ chairs for our café.

2. Ceiling tiles.

3. Back-of-house equipment such as new wipeable white walls and storage solutions to make room for more impressive, sculpted cakes.

4. Repairing and recalibrating our ovens.

5. Remodeling our café bathroom.

As always, we appreciate the support from the Boston community and hope we can make this renovation project bring life back into this well-loved establishment! Any donation helps, and frequenting our café for a birthday cake, latte, or pastry is doing so much already.
