We are a small group of individual rescuers and fosterers based on the beautiful island of Panglao, Bohol, Philippines.

Behind the pristine beaches and beautiful tourism, however, is a heartbreaking reality: Panglao has a serious stray animal problem.

The dogs we had been fostering from the beaches and streets were being impounded. During local events, hundreds of stray dogs can end up in impounding facilities, with many facing an uncertain fate and, ultimately, death.

We never planned to become a rescue project this soon.

But when we saw dogs we knew and cared for sitting on death row, we couldn't simply look away. August 2, 2026, our lives changed.

So we started releasing them from impounding and giving them a second chance.

Today, we finally have a piece of land where these dogs can stay. But having land is only the beginning.

Our most urgent need now is to build a stronger and more secure fence around it.

Panglao is a tropical island, and our dogs are exposed to intense sun, heavy rain, strong winds, and unpredictable weather. A temporary fence is simply not enough to keep them safe. We want to build proper fencing that can withstand the weather, prevent escapes, protect the dogs from outside dangers, and give them a secure place they can call home.

But our responsibility doesn't end with a fence.

We need ongoing support for their daily food, clean water, veterinary care, vaccinations, medicines, sterilization, emergency treatment, and other basic needs.

Every dog we take in becomes our responsibility.

We are not a large organization with a big facility or endless resources. We are simply people who saw animals in need and decided that they deserved another chance.

Our dream is not to have hundreds of dogs.

Our dream is to reach a point where fewer dogs need rescuing in the first place. We also hope to work alongside the local government and communities to promote responsible pet ownership and support humane population management programs in the future.

But right now, our priority is simple:

Keep the dogs we have safe.

Give them a secure home.

And make sure they never have to face the streets alone again.
