DEADLINE APRIL 19th

The UofA has a nascent neuroscience program. The Neuroscience Organization, a registered student organization on campus, is on the undergraduate frontline in its expansion. At the beginning of this semester we held the first meeting of The Synapse, a neuroscience-centered journal club that is affiliated with the Neuroscience Organization.

Now we're looking towards the end of this semester. Every year we take about twenty students from the University of Arkansas to a neuroscience conference within driving distance. Thus, we're raising funds to be able to attend our next annual conference, the first annual meeting for The Society of Philosophy and Neuroscience (SPAN) in St. Louis, MO. The speakers and invited symposia are on the poster pictured.

Supporting this conference trip isn't just of direct benefit to the students involved, but to the neuroscience community in Arkansas as well.

p.s. The picture of us is from last year when we went to the Parkinson's Symposium in Little Rock! The year before that we went to the Conference on Aging and Cognition in Dallas.
