Cornelio Galicia Sivada, a union ironworker with Ironworkers Local 66, was sent to work with a contractor in Brownsville, Texas. His wife accompanied him on the trip, although she was not scheduled to work.
On their way, they were unexpectedly detained by ICE. What should have been a routine work assignment quickly turned into a devastating and life-changing situation for them and their family.
Cornelio was simply doing his job, and now both he and his wife are facing an uncertain future.
Their union brothers and sisters are coming together to support them during this difficult time, but the cost of legal representation is overwhelming. They need experienced legal assistance to fight for their rights and to be reunited with their loved ones.
All funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward attorney fees and related legal expenses. Every dollar makes a difference and brings them one step closer to coming home.
