Liv is only 28 years old but her heart has stopped beating five times. Her autoimmune diseases come closer to killing her every day. She cannot eat because she has a hole in her stomach and every time she tries, it causes burning pain.
She is starving, unable to sleep or live normally, and suffering extreme pain. Liv has lost 120 pounds because of her illness and she gets weaker every day.
As a young, uninsured black woman, she has faced medical racism and malpractice from doctors time and again and it has almost cost her her life.
After her feeding tube punctured her intestine and she had to undergo surgery, her heart stopped and she nearly died. The only option left for Liv to be able to survive anything is to undergo another surgery and be treated with medication.
