Help Underserved NJ Students Learn the Power of Voting

I am committed to a strictly nonpartisan program to educate and empower middle and high school students about the importance of voting. I am especially reaching out to students in underserved areas in NJ where Dept of Education data reflects youth voting age population of over 40,000 eligible voters but less than 20% participation. By educating our next generation of voters, the intention to vote can increase dramatically. To help bring this program into these schools, I have created a scholarship "The Schmiedel Family Foundation Scholarship" with seed money of $5000, for five $1000 awards to start.
