The Arivu Trust works to send technology in like-new condition from companies and institutions across the Greater Toronto Area to underserved communities in the Northern districts of Sri Lanka, where only 1% of households own a computer. These devices are distributed to libraries, public facilities, and schools to expand access to the internet and digital learning.

Our first pilot project will send six computers to Manipay Library, a suburb of Jaffna, equipped with stable internet and power. This single site alone has the potential to provide internet and computer access to thousands of people in a region over the course of the pilot project where computers remain a rare resource. In addition, it is located directly across from Angel International School as well.

As students who have relied on tools like Google Docs, online coding tutorials, and e-book libraries throughout our education, we've seen firsthand how transformative access to a computer can be. Help us raise the necessary funds and connect underpriviledged Tamils to the internet!
