Help Uncle Thea Fight Severe Illness

Hi, my name is Patra Men, and I'm writing this with a heart full of love and urgency for my father, Thea Men, known to our family and friends as Uncle Thea or Motodup, someone incredibly dear to all of us as the leader and inspiration of our family.

Uncle Thea fell sick 2 weeks ago and has been battling a bad infection. The infection took a turn for the worse on 4/21/25, and he was rushed to the Sirivej Hospital in Chanthaburi, Thailand, with little time to spare. The immediate diagnosis was Sepsis, Pneumonia, acute kidney failure, and a blood clot in his lungs. Thea made it to the hospital just in time to avoid kidney dialysis, so they are now treating him for his severe blood infection.

The hospital costs are mounting, and we're asking for help to cover his emergency and ongoing hospital care and to cover basic living expenses while he is in the fight for his life.

Uncle Thea is one of those one-of-a-kind, rare individuals with a heart of gold who has always taken care of his family, friends, and everyone who has ever come into contact with him. Thea helped his family and relatives escape from the Khmer Rouge regime and killing fields to immigrate to America and start new lives. Thea inspired his fellow countrymen to work hard and achieve the American Dream, and many are thankful for his direction and inspiration.

This kind of tragedy changes everything in an instant. While we are praying for full recovery and healing for Uncle Thea, his family needs support to stay afloat—emotionally, physically, and financially. No one ever expects to be in this situation. But we know we're not alone. We know that love stretches far and wide, and we believe in the power of community.
