Help Uncle Terry Smile Again
Hi, my name is Joe. I’m a retired registered nurse with too much time on his hands — and I’m fundraising for my friend, Uncle Terry Jordan. Terry is a 73 year old Aboriginal elder.
I’ve known Uncle Terry for many years in the community. He works with everyone from troubled youth to anyone in need of advice or simply a friend. He’s an important part of our community, and a man who has dedicated his life to helping others.
Uncle Terry has always been there for people. He spends time with young people in jails and institutions, offers guidance and ceremony around culture, and carries ancient wisdom that helps keep knowledge and traditions alive for future generations.
But right now, Terry is slipping through the cracks. His teeth are in bad shape. The only option he’s been offered here is to have them pulled and replaced with standard government dentures. We can do better for him. For a fraction of the price, Terry can come with me to my dentist in Vietnam, where I’ve been treated myself. The care is excellent, and far more affordable than in Sydney. If we can reach our modest fundraising goal, I will personally cover the rest.
We’re not asking for much. Every contribution will go directly to airfare, basic accommodation, and the dental care needed to restore not only Uncle Terry’s smile — but his dignity as well.
Guys like Terry are rare. He has given so much, and now it’s our turn to give back.
Thank you for helping this local legend.
