A devastating fire sparked by a vehicle blow-out on the freeway ignited the vegetation in the Grove of Dunnigan, CA. The flames spread rapidly, destroying my uncle Robbie’s entire property—his home, cars, garage, swimming pool, and everything he owned. Three people lived in the home: my uncle Robbie, his brother, and their caretaker. We are still searching for their beloved cats, Max and Cali, who are missing. The loss is overwhelming, and it’s hard to imagine having a home one day and watching it burn down the next, powerless to stop it.

Uncle Robbie has always been the first to help anyone in need. He built his home in 1985, and it became the heart of our family, hosting countless gatherings and celebrations. The fire not only destroyed his home but also took away two trucks, two boats, a garage filled with memories, and a tool shed. Both my uncles and their caretaker lost everything. The fire burned past my mom’s property, through the field, igniting everything in its path.

Now, my uncle, his brother, and their caretaker need help to rebuild their lives. The funds raised will go toward temporary housing, replacing essentials like food, clothes, and medications, and helping them recover from this unimaginable loss.
