My uncle Jon is currently in the hospital in Columbia, Missouri after becoming septic. His kidneys have suffered as well as many other organs and infection is still in his blood. He’s undergone many procedures including surgery to remove infected vertebrae.

Jon was admitted to MU Health Care on March 5. He had two vertebrae removed in his neck due to infection. Jon has undergone several procedures for his spine as well due to sepsis.

Currently, Jon is undergoing dialysis because his kidneys are "asleep" and he still has infection. We learned that Jon has developed pneumonia while in ICU as well.
