Help Support Uncle Ike’s Long Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and supporters near and far
We’re humbly asking for your help on behalf of our beloved Issac “Ike” Bearden a man known and loved by many across Arkansas and Milwaukee.
Uncle Ike is 81 years old and has spent a lifetime working with his hands as a skilled carpenter. He lived most of his life in Milwaukee, where many of you may remember him for his humble heart, helping hands, and unwavering faith. He now resides in Dewitt, Arkansas, where he was continuing to work on his home and stay active in his community.
Tragically, while helping a friend repair a truck, the vehicle caught fire, and Uncle Ike suffered 2nd and 3rd-degree burns over 20% of his body including his hands, arms, chest, and face. At his age, this kind of trauma is incredibly difficult. His hands once used to build and bless are now bandaged and healing from unimaginable pain.
Uncle Ike is currently hospitalized and expected to remain under medical care for 2 to 3 months. The medical expenses are already growing, and his long-term recovery will require extensive treatments, therapy, and support even after discharge.
We’re raising funds to help with these medical expenses and to equip a safe, accessible living space for his recovery. His current home is not suitable for healing, so we are hoping to place a tiny home on his land one that is properly outfitted for his needs, including safety features and accessibility accommodations that burn victims require during the healing process.
This is not just about comfort it’s about restoring dignity and providing a foundation for healing. At 81, the road ahead is steep, but with your support, we can lighten the load.
If you know Uncle Ike, you know he has always shown up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Please consider donating whatever you can. Every dollar brings us closer to giving him a place to heal. If you can’t give, please share this campaign with others who may be able to help.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support.
