Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out today on behalf of my Uncle Charlie, who recently suffered a massive stroke that turned his and his family’s life upside down.

He is currently in the hospital, fighting each day to regain strength and function. After a very uncertain initial period, he is beginning to participate in therapies—a huge and hopeful step forward. We are incredibly thankful for his resilience and the care he has received so far.

My uncle is a strong, kind, and generous soul. The photo chosen shows him doing one of his favorite things, fishing! It is a huge hope and prayer that with the right support and care, he’ll make his way back to moments like those.

The road ahead will be long and filled with challenges, including extensive rehabilitation and therapy. While insurance covers some of the costs, there are many medical expenses that will pile up quickly. My aunt and cousins are doing everything they can to navigate this overwhelming situation, and any amount of financial relief would be an incredible blessing to their family.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to help reduce the weight of medical bills and give my uncle the best chance at recovery—with access to the therapies, specialists, and long-term care he needs to heal.
