Chance is an Arabian mau street cat rescued Thursday 20th February 2025 and found having continuous seizures on the street.
He was rushed to the vet where, after tests, he was found to have neural F.IP.
What is FIP?
Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a serious disease in cats caused by a mutated form of feline coronavirus. Most cats carry the virus without issues, but in some, it turns into FIP, which can be deadly. There are three types: "wet" FIP, which causes fluid buildup in the belly or chest; "dry" FIP, which affects organs like the brain and eyes; and "neuro" FIP, which targets the nervous system, causing symptoms like trouble walking, seizures, and loss of balance. Symptoms also include fever, weight loss, and tiredness. While once thought untreatable, new antiviral treatments offer hope for recovery.
GS-441524 is an antiviral drug that has shown great success in treating Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP). It works by blocking the virus from replicating, allowing the cat’s immune system to recover. Although not yet FDA-approved, many vets and pet owners have used it successfully, giving cats a much better chance of survival.
We can purchase GS vials for 420dhs each. Each vial will last 2 or 3 days. Treatment is a total of 84 days.
We scrapped the money together to buy 1 vial and Chance is already up, interacting and eating. He seems to be a very sweet boy.
Please support even the price of a cup of coffee to help us afford more vials of GS for Chance. Anything would be a big big help.
Thankyou for your support!
