Help Ukranian people to buy medicine, fuel & food
Spende geschützt
I'd love to introduce you to my friend, Katerina. Two weeks ago, we were volunteering together to organise the Summerhill Festival of Childhood . She lived a life just like you or me. But she is from Ukraine. And all their life just turned upside down. She has since fled the country with her two beautiful daughters and husband last minute and has offered her house, her tiny democratic school building and her parents' flat for refugees fleeing from Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine (They all returned to their hometown a month ago and have been helping refugees ever since). Some of her colleagues stayed there, looking after hundreds of people and animals every day. She remained at the border in Moldova, helping all the other refugees who arrive there, organising playgroups for the little ones, buying medicine, and taking it back to the country so the doctors could keep curing people. She is one badass girl!
But they need constant help to buy food, medicine, blankets and so on. I asked my friends too, but I thought maybe you are like me, preferring to help directly to people in need rather than through huge organisations where you don't always know where the money goes ? If you can afford to donate even a small amount of money, please do; every cent counts. ($100 is half the minimum wage in Ukraine, but the prices are soaring)
I set up this gofundme and share her details with her permission. She will get all the funds collected here and will distribute it among those in need.
You can also check her Facebook account; she is documenting everything.
