Help Dmytro Berezhnyi Reach His Dream at the Royal Danish Ballet

At just 16 years old, Dmytro Berezhnyi has already faced challenges most young dancers could never imagine.

Dmytro is a Ukrainian refugee who arrived in Toronto after being forced to leave his home because of the war in Ukraine. Amid uncertainty and upheaval, one thing has remained constant in his life: ballet.

Dance has been more than an art form for Dmytro it has been stability, identity, and hope.

Today, he is training at Canada’s National Ballet School, one of the most prestigious ballet institutions in the world. His dedication, discipline, and natural artistry have quickly distinguished him among his peers.

Now, Dmytro has been given an extraordinary opportunity: an invitation to train this summer in the apprenticeship program at the Royal Danish Ballet.

This program is offered to only a select few young dancers internationally. It represents not only elite training, but a direct pathway into one of the most historic and respected ballet traditions in the world. For a young dancer, this is the kind of opportunity that can shape an entire career.

Unfortunately, despite his talent and hard work, Dmytro cannot attend without financial support.

As a refugee family rebuilding their lives in a new country, the costs associated with international travel, housing, tuition, and living expenses are simply beyond their means.

We are hoping to raise $10, 000 to cover:
• Travel to and from Denmark
• Program tuition and apprenticeship fees
• Accommodation and daily living expenses

Every dollar brings Dmytro closer to continuing the training he has worked so hard to earn.

Dmytro’s story is one of resilience. He has not allowed displacement, uncertainty, or hardship to define his future. Instead, he shows up to the studio every day with focus, humility, and gratitude for the chance to dance.

This opportunity is more than a summer program it is a step toward building a professional career, restoring stability, and continuing to pursue a dream that war tried to interrupt.

If you are able to contribute, no amount is too small. If you cannot donate, sharing this page helps more than you know.

Let’s help Dmytro reach Denmark and continue dancing toward his future.

Thank you for believing in him.
