My name is Tanya and I escaped the war in Ukraine with my 10 year old daughter, Nastya. My husband, brother, аnd many loved ones are still there. It’s been a very scary and difficult experience, but we found our way to Santa Barbara and a wonderfully supportive, safe community. I’m so grateful for that.
I was a professional manicurist in Ukraine and very much want to work. Right now I’m learning English (my new American friend is helping me create this account and wrote this message!) so I can take the licensing exam and start working here in the USA. Until I can get on my feet, I’m asking for any financial help people would be willing to offer me to pay for food, transportation, and rent. No amount is too small! Everything helps as I try to start a life here with my daughter as the war rages on in my home country.
Thank you for your help.
