About me
I am a Ukrainian-born entrepreneur living in Ireland. In my career, I have had the chance of working on wonderful company missions such as "organize the world's information and make it universally accessible" (Google) and "give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected" (Facebook). My life turned upside down when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. A lot of my friends and family are at the forefront, giving a fightback to the invaders. In order to help them survive this battle, a huge portion of my life is now devoted to stopping the war in Ukraine.
The war
The hard truth about the war in Ukraine is that the Russian troops have no mercy towards anyone they meet on their way, not even children. What you see in the media has undergone a few levels of censorship. The reality of it is much harsher.
The need
A lot of world famous charities and NGOs are working towards helping Ukraine, but these organizations are too large in size which means that often it takes a lot of time for the help to arrive at the right place. At the same time, we are getting hundreds of requests daily from people who need help right now.
These requests often include the following basic necessities for survival:
- food
- water
- baby food
- first aid supplies
- basic medicines
- medical devices
- electric power generators
- food for animal shelters and Zoos
What we are doing to help
We are hands on, working 24/7 to supply Ukrainian people with everything they need to survive the horrors of the ongoing war. So far, we have sent over $220,000 in direct help and over $3,000,000 in indirect help.
Our projects include:
- Helping orphans with disabilities leave Ukraine and get adopted by US citizens
- Helping feed civilians and wounded people in collaboration with the Restaurants Association of Ukraine (thousands of meals prepared daily)
- Helping hospitals at the forefront with medical devices and medical supplies
- Helping the vulnerable segments of society with food and water
- Buying electric generators for communities that have no access to heating while hiding in freezing bomb shelters
We need more funds to do good.
