Help Ugandan Girls Achieve Their Dreams and go to School!

My name is Cat Gilliam, I am an online friend of LEGIBE's director, David Kawanuka. We met recently through an organization I have been part of for 15 years called Playback North America. (PNA) Last Saturday I offered my first of a series of sessions using movement and voice to express feelings and learn how to embody empathy. Three of the girls shared stories, others reflected back the feelings they heard, using their whole beings. "Embodied Empathy".

These girls dream of becoming teachers, doctors, scientists, midwives and more. Your donations go directly towards helping these girls have a better future. All donations will be sent directly from me, in the US, to David in Uganda via Western Union because he does not have a PayPal or electronic bank account compliant with US Fundraising websites. When I worked with the girls last Saturday, one girl said to me "We don't think anyone in the US even knows we exist. Why do you want to work with us?" I told her that I have two daughters, 4 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter on the way. Woman having freedom and access to health care, mental health care, education, and safety matters to me no matter where in the world they are. We are all connected. Everyone's life matters.
