The University of Georgia Club Cross Country team has qualified for the NIRCA National Championships in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This is the biggest meet of the year for collegiate club runners, and it’s our chance to represent UGA against the best student-led programs in the country.
Here’s the challenge: running might be free, but getting to Hershey isn’t. As a student-run club, we don’t receive the same level of funding that D1 sports receive from athletics. Travel, lodging, and race fees add up quickly.
Every dollar you give helps cover the cost of sending our runners to Nationals. Think of it this way:
$15= one meal for a runner
$25 = meet entrance fee for one runner
$50 = gas money to get us a few miles closer to Pennsylvania
$100= One night in a hotel room (so our runners don’t have to camp out in the parking lot).
$200+ = serious hero status (we’ll run extra hard for you)
We’ve put in the miles, sweated through the Georgia heat, and balanced training with full course loads. Now we need your support to get us to the starting line in Hershey.
Any bit helps! Go Dawgs!
