On February 26th, two best friends - Grady Carson and Evan Dockter - took home 3rd place in the State of Michigan Elementary VEX IQ Championship! This competition was only their 5th ever robotics competition, and they earned their 3rd place spot with a robot they redesigned only a week before the State Competition.
These 5th graders hope to compete in the VEX WORLDS Competition in Dallas, TX, in May 2022.
To get to the WORLD Competition, Team UFRs (Unidentified Flying Robots) needs to raise money to cover:
- Registration for the Competition: $1200
- Flights for Grady, Evan, Coach Jake (Evan's Dad) and Assistant Colby (Grady's Dad): $2500
- Lodging Accommodations for 1 week in Dallas Texas: $2000
- Food: $2000
- Car rental, Shipping of robots, etc.: $500
We are accepting any and all donations to help these amazing kids experience the VEX IQ Worlds Competition, continue to explore robotics, learn from other kids from all over the world. Thank you SO much for taking the time to consider donating!
