Help Launch UCI’s First-Ever RoboSub Team — April 1 Deadline
We have 25 days to raise $1500 before the April 1 registration deadline to officially enter the international RoboSub.org competition held right here in Irvine.
Your support helps unlock the corporate sponsorships needed to build our first autonomous underwater robot.
RoboSub.org brings together top engineering universities such as MIT, Cornell, and Duke, along with teams from around the world, to build fully autonomous underwater robots capable of completing complex missions.
Now UCI is joining them!
Why Registration Matters?
Funding: Many robotics and defense companies require proof that a team is officially competing before they provide serious support.
Registration allows us to approach companies with credibility and say:
“UCI is officially competing in RoboSub 2026.”
That credibility opens the door to corporate sponsorships, hardware donations, and industry mentorship needed to build our first autonomous underwater robot.
Competition Infrastructure: 10x10 garage, access to obstacle courses and acoustic beacon systems, specialized equipment, recruiting events, networking, etc.
Starting From Zero
As a brand-new team, we are starting with designs, simulations, and determination.
In just a few weeks, our internal teams have already produced early demo systems:

Together, we can make history!
