Hello, my name is Uche Egesionu. For over 30 years, my family and I have had the privilege of running a small, independent pharmacy in a community that means the world to us. This pharmacy isn’t just a business, it’s a family legacy and a place of care, connection, and hope for so many people we’ve come to know and love.

Our story began with my late father, the heart and soul of our family, who purchased the business decades ago with a dream to serve others. His sudden passing on a trip abroad shattered our world, and ever since, we’ve done our best to carry on his mission and honor his memory.

The past few years have tested us like never before. The challenges brought on by COVID, paired with shrinking insurance reimbursements, have made it incredibly hard to stay afloat. We’ve watched as big chain pharmacies around us, even the two local Walgreens and several CVS stores, have closed their doors. Each closure has left a deeper void in a community that already struggles to access the care it deserves.

And yet, we refuse to give up. We’re fighting with everything we must keep our doors open, not just for our livelihood, but for the people who have become like family to us. Every smile, every thank-you, every neighbor who walks through our doors reminds us why we started in the first place.

We love this community deeply. It’s our home, our purpose, and our promise, to keep showing up, to keep caring, and to keep serving for as many years as we possibly can.
