From the Free Speech Movement (FSM) in 1964 to the environmentalism movements in the 1970s, UC Berkeley students have led organizing efforts for social movements that have defined student movements around the country. In addition, Andrew's parents met while they were in UC Berkeley Graduate School in the 1960s, so, historically, Berkeley has been the birthplace for great ideas and innovation. In 2019, four students initiated Not Left, Not Right, Forward--an organization the mobilizes UC Berkeley students behind Andrew Yang's vision of Humanity First.
Some of our accomplishments include:
⁍ Mobilizing over 250 students to table, phonebank, and spread awareness for Humanity First
⁍ Create a completely student-driven video, endorsing presidential canddiate Andrew Yang: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7sXZEyazYM
⁍ Motivate and encourage underrepresented students of color and female students to learn more about the political process
⁍ One of the largest and strongest college campus "Yang Gang's" in the country.
We have done all of these efforts with under $200 worth of funding throughout the entire semester. This club has been primarily funded by grassroots donations from local Yang organizations. Please help UC Berkeley students with funding as we go into the new year to inspire, motivate, and cultivate a whole new generation of students under Andrew's vision of Humanity First. The support will assist many students who believe in the vision of Humanity First and help us with the ground game level for California.
Help UC Berkeley's Not Left, Not Right, Forward build a better future, a future we can leave to future generations.
