Úala (formally known as Bonnie) is a English bulldog who will turn five this August. I adopted her as a rescue when she was three, after she had already faced a tough start in life. Despite her pre-existing conditions and not qualifying for pet insurance, I was able to get her through cancer treatment and pneumonia and several other health issues. Through it all, Úala has remained the sweetest soul, bringing so much joy and comfort to my and my children's life every day.

Recently, Úala was diagnosed with a heart condition that requires an urgent pacemaker surgery. The situation is critical—she cannot move or walk without risking her life, and the surgery needs to happen within the next few weeks. Covering the cost of this procedure and her hospital stay is more than I can manage on my own, especially after all her previous medical needs.
