Nationals Here We Come!

It is with GREAT excitement that Casitas Rowing Association Women’s U17 Four qualified at the Southwest Regional Youth Championships (May 5th) to go to Nationals in Florida (June 4-9)!

Our qualifying boat consists of Campbell Maruquin, Carolynn Peters, Francesca Park, Avery Weir, Olive Urwin (Coxwain) and Addie Cantrall (alternate). This will be Wendy Gillett's, our coach, first U17 boat to ever qualify in the history of Casitas Row Club. She is just as excited as we are!

We have worked all year to make it this far and now we are asking for a little help. We are asking for 6k in donations, that’s $1,000 per athlete toward our expenses. To give you an idea as to where the funds go, it was $777 each just for plane tickets... YES.... that is high you may be thinking, but while this is true, 777 is a lucky number and we believe we will crush our competition!

Every one of us is looking forward to this opportunity, some have never been on a plane, most of us have not traveled as a team or without our parent(s) and none of us have competed at this level.
