The last four months have been incredibly heavy for both my baby and me. My sweet dog, Tyson—affectionately known as “Tito”—has been battling a severe and persistent ear issue that started as an infection. Despite numerous vet visits, oral and topical medications, and even light sedation to evaluate his inner ear, the condition only worsened. It has turned into daily bleeding and constant care, both for Tito and my home. Tito was born deaf, which has made this process even more challenging for both of us.

Recently, we were referred to a board-certified veterinary dermatology clinic in Louisville, KY. There, we learned that Tito has a tumor or mass deep in his right ear canal. The tumor needs to be removed as soon as possible under full anesthesia and sent to pathology to determine whether it is benign or malignant. We are praying for the best possible outcome. The costs for the upcoming procedure, pathology, and continued care are significant, and there will also be ongoing expenses for medication and follow-up visits, both locally and in Louisville.

This is very difficult for me to share. I am a private and strong-willed person, but my baby needs help—and I would be doing him a disservice by letting pride stand in the way. Tito is deeply loved by so many, and I am choosing to allow the love and light of our community to be a part of this journey. There is no pressure to give.
