Help Tyson Recover from a Tragic Shooting
Donation protected
The world is a scary place these days, and one of a mother's worst fears is getting that call—the one that turns your whole world upside down. On the afternoon of April 2nd, my 19-year-old son Tyson was driving home from work at Bath Iron Works (BIW) when he was shot in a senseless act of violence.
Tyson sustained gunshot wounds to his left shoulder and abdomen, as well as injuries from shattered glass in his face, chest, and eye. I am beyond grateful that God spared my son’s life that day, but the road to recovery is going to be long and painful.
In addition to his medical expenses and ongoing care, Tyson’s truck—his only mode of transportation—is also badly damaged from the incident. We are working to get it repaired so that he can get back on his feet, especially as he recovers and needs to return to work.
We’re asking for help to cover Tyson’s medical expenses, truck repairs, and the time he’ll need to heal both physically and emotionally. Every dollar makes a difference, and if you can’t give, sharing this page would mean the world to us.
Thank you for keeping Tyson in your thoughts and prayers.
