It’s Finally official!
Our Tyra girl has been selected for the Samoan Women’s u16s National Basketball Team that will compete at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup in Malaysia in September. (Yes, this month)
At only 13 years old, This amazing opportunity has come very early for Tyra, and we are extremely grateful for her selection. This is truely a blessing for all her hard work and sacrifice over the past few years. We now begin the harder work both on and off the court to prepare for her exciting journey ahead.
Those who know Tyra will know how connected she is with her Samoan heritage and this is a chance for her to learn more about the culture and build friendships with new team members from around the globe (VIC, SA, QLD, NSW, NZ, SAMOA, USA, Hawaii)
We are reaching out to you, family, friends to help us raise some funds to assist with Tyra’s travel and expenses whilst she is with the team.
