Help Typhoon Carina Victims in the Philippines

Hi there! We are the Filipino Students Association of Scarborough from the University of Toronto and we are fundraising to help provide relief and aid to families in Talayan, Quezon City that were affected by Typhoon Carina earlier this week.
It is important to us to suppport this community not only because of personal connections to the Phillipines but also as a call to support our greater global community. Whether through family ties, friendships or shared cultural experiences, we understand the importance of supporting and being there for others in need.
Our goal:
Our mission is to provide funds, relief, aid and support to communities during this difficult time. We want to raise $500 to provide crucial aid to families that have been affected by the typhoon. Every donation will go to providing immediate aid to the families and people.
How the funds will be used:
Immediate relief:
The typhoon has left many people displaced and without basic neccessities like food and clean water. All funds raised will go towards delivering vital resources to the victims of this disaster.
Supporting local communities:
We believe in the resilence and strength of community. We will be providing aid to people to provide support in their effort to rebuild their lives.
A call of action and compassion:
This is not a distant tragedy; it is a call to action for all of us that have been touched by the warmth, kindess and culture of the Filipino community. Many of us have friends and family in the Phillipines or have heard stories of those affected. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of so many. This campaign is a way for us to give back to the people and the communities that deeply resonate within our hearts.
