Hi, I’m Tylonda. I’ve recently tried leaving my domestic violence relationship with a narcissist, along with my two kids—2-month-old Truth and 3-year-old Ty’raen. In the process of trying to leave, Truth’s father wouldn’t let me take him with me. North Carolina is a 50/50 state when it comes to child custody, which has made this situation even more challenging for me as a mother.

I am currently not working and haven’t been able to work since July, which has made it impossible for me to afford the legal help I need. I am trying to fight for sole custody so that Truth can be in a safer environment and with the parent who is best able to care for him. Having a family law attorney would give me the chance to bring my baby home and provide both of my children with the stability and safety they deserve.
