Originally I made this gofund me for medical and nutrition help for my mom to take care of my brother. Things have took a turn. He is now in a induced coma and has been given not even 30 days to live. However we know through God all things are possible. Tyler has chronic liver disease with zero functioning liver as of now as well as kidney failure. He is receiving dialysis now to filter his blood and continuing drainage of his Ascites. He is in deacons in Henderson. Our mom is staying with him and is able to receive one free meal a day. We have not got a meld score yet to see if he will have the opportunity to be put on the transplant list to receive a liver. Right now we are just hoping he pulls through the next couple days so he can be moved to a bigger hospital with more equipped staff. I know Tyler was an active alcoholic. I also know that pre alcoholic Tyler would hate this Tyler. Tyler was a very empathetic and loving soul. He just hit a patch in his life where addiction stole his spirit. If you knew this Tyler now and you could still see the good in this Tyler now you can only imagine the absolute good he was pre alcoholic. I know that people see addicts differently. I know because I've been there. I've been the one that's like " well they won't help themselves" if only it was that simple. Addiction is such a strong hold and often times people don't realize they are addicted until they want to stop. You think well I can stop if I wanted too. Reality is it's a bumpy road. Tyler has attempted to stop drinking but the physical withdrawal was very hard on him. I know it's no excuse and he should have gotten help. He's still a child of God even with a messy past God is still working through him. I know the holidays are hard to recover from for alot of people. It's just a rough part of the year. We just had Thanksgiving and Christmas back to back. Groceries are expensive so I get it. If you are able to help any amount this fund is going to be used for Tyler no matter the outcome. He has no insurance at the moment and we are being told again that he has about 30 days. We know God's will is what will be done how he sees fit. We have discussed the outcome of his earthly body losing this battle. We know that is a possibility. So this fund will be used to relieve some of the financial burden of medical services or burial if it comes to that. Which we are praying he will pull through this and tell his testimony to save others.
