Hi my name is Tyler and i am fundraising to get my freedom back!

I am 15 years old nearly 16 which for me is a massive milestone as the doctors told my        mum i wasn't going to live pass the age of 2.   My  mum says I'm a living miracle. I have many health conditions that makes life challenging and i need specialist equipment to help me get around.

I have an undiagnosed genetic condition which is extremely rare and doctors are now learning from me because i have lived beyond expectations.

I have a severe epilepsy syndrome. I am registered blind and have a movement disorder, scoliosis which I'm due to have major surgery on next year, the scoliosis has also caused me to have dislocated hips which causes me pain and this is just to name a few of my conditions.

I am telling you my story as me,my mum and family have come to a point where it is becoming unsafe to take me out and enjoy the things i would normally do as my chair is not suitable for my health needs anymore. Where i am in an upright position this affects my breathing as i have a floppy airway and makes my oxygen levels go low and require suctioning. The chair is also not moulded to my body which makes this uncomfortable for me and sometimes causes pain which then makes my movement disorder worse. So i can't be out for long periods of time which limits my activities and general enjyment of life.

I would love to have a chair that i can be comfortable in and start to enjoy life again. This would also give my mum the ability to manage my health needs safely. We have found an amazing company called SOS orthotics which specialise in moulded wheelchairs.

Hi my name is laura and i am a carer for Tyler. I have set this page up as i see first hand on a daily basis how staring at the same walls everyday is affecting both Tyler and his Mum. I feel like getting this chair would help them both get the best out of the life and make as many memories as possible as life is precious and we don't know what Tyler's future holds.
