Help Tyler through emergency surgery and recovery

Tyler moved to Boston a few years ago with one big suitcase and a complicated medical history that he hoped would be solved by this great city's excellent doctors and medical staff. After a few surgeries and a lengthy rehabilitation, he adjusted to his new life, feeling better than ever and ready to start living his life pain-free. He found an apartment, got a god job, and adopted the sweetest little puppy named Raven. Things were finally starting to look up!

Fast-forward to about a month ago, when Tyler was getting ready for work one morning and suddenly felt a sharp, intense pain in his abdomen. He had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance before he could even put his shoes on. The news there was worst-case scenario for him at this point in his life: an emergency colectomy on the remainder of his intestines, and a host of post-surgery complications. He's spent the last several weeks in and out of the hospital, in tremendous pain, and highly distressed about his (and Raven's!) future.

He hasn't been at his current job long enough to collect part-time disability benefits. He has been unable to save up an emergency fund due to medical issues, moving recently, and the unstable nature of the post-Covid hospitality industry in which he works. This is going to end up being months of missed shifts and lost wages. His puppy is currently in a lovely foster home while he continues to figure out the full extent of his current illness and recovery. He cannot buy groceries, pay his phone bill, or keep up with his rent.
