Help Tyler Sing at Carnegie Hall and Abroad

Hi everyone,

My name is Tyler Panos and I will be a junior at Wartburg College. I am reaching out to ask for your support for an incredible opportunity to travel with the Wartburg Choir in the spring of next year. I am a hardworking college student majoring in music education in hopes of fulfilling my dream of becoming a choir director after graduation. Wartburg College is a small private college in Iowa known for its exceptional music program. Go Knights!

I am one of 5 children in a family that has always valued hard work and perseverance. Even though I got a scholarship to attend Wartburg, it does not cover all of my tuition and housing. To help pay for my tuition, I work full-time every summer and I have three different work-study jobs during the academic year. Unfortunately, I do not make enough to allow me to do any extras without help from others. My parents help as much as they can but I have 2 older brothers and 2 younger sisters that also need support from them.

Although having 3 work study jobs and full time classes is a demanding schedule, I really enjoy music and the friends I have made in the 3 different choirs I sing in.

This next school year, I have been given two incredible, life-changing opportunities:

Sing in Europe with the Wartburg Choir, starting with a performance at the historic Wartburg Castle in Germany, connecting his school’s musical legacy with its European roots.

Perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City with Ritterchor, Wartburg’s select men’s choir.

These are once-in-a-lifetime chances to grow as a musician and connect with the world through the universal language of music—but the cost is a major hurdle.

I am hoping to raise $6000 to help cover the travel, lodging, and related expenses for these tours. I promise to not only write thank you's but also share pictures and videos so I can share my experience with others.
