I’m Tyler, and I’m asking for help for my small business, Madstyle. This is not easy for me to do. I should have reached out sooner, but I let my pride get in the way. Madstyle has been my dream for more than 13 years, and it means so much to me to know it has also become a meaningful part of the community. Lately, I’ve been hearing some of the most amazing feedback from people telling me Madstyle is their favorite store, and that even those who are not local make a point to stop by whenever they are in town. Hearing that has been incredibly encouraging, but also painful, because behind the scenes I’ve been struggling to keep everything together.
Numerous unexpected maintenance issues have put me in a very difficult position, including the air conditioner going out and water leaking through a brick wall. Those problems caused me to fall behind, and it has been a real struggle trying to catch back up. The support from this fundraiser will help me avoid defaulting on my contract and losing ownership of the building, along with everything I have invested into it, including my 401(k) and the equity I’ve built in the property. If you’re able to help, whether by giving or simply sharing this fundraiser, I would be deeply grateful. Madstyle is a dream I’m not ready to let go of, and with a little help, I believe I can get caught up and back on track.
