Help Tyler Reece's Recovery

Donation protected

On June 24, 2021, Tyler was in a major car accident, which left him fighting for his life on life support in Boston Medical Center's ICU. Tyler suffered broken bones and an extensive brain injury, which required an emergency craniotomy later that night. After battling infections, pneumonia, and the many challenges that come with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Tyler has been taken off life support, and continued to make progress. After nearly two months of being in the hospital and rehab, he is now recovering at home with outpatient rehabilitation, and wearing a protective helmet until his next surgery. Now, Tyler is on the road to recovery and relearning how to live an independent life and hone his fine motor skills. In a few months, once Tyler has regained enough strength, and the swelling in his brain has reduced, he will undergo another major surgery to replace the piece of skull that was removed during the craniotomy. He will then recover in the hospital and continue rehabilitation. As you can imagine, Tyler has a long road ahead, and will continue to need all the support, love and prayers from all of you that have known him and his kind heart. Any contribution you can make will greatly help as he overcomes his Traumatic Brain Injury.
