Help Tyler recover from a life altering wreck

On May 10th, Tyler Burnette was driving to work when he was involved in a life-altering car accident. Upon exiting the interstate he had a green light, so Tyler proceeded
to slow down and take a left turn through a busy intersection under a bridge.
Tyler was struck on his driver's side by a Virginia State Trooper responding to an emergency nearby. Tyler’s airbag deployed and he was badly hurt and knocked unconscious but came to after a few minutes. The damage was so great that the first responders on the scene had to cut the roof of the car off and extract Tyler through the back of the vehicle. He was then transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Though fortunately, no broken bones were detected, Tyler was left with debilitating pain from the accident that prevents him from sleeping properly and working. The cause is still unknown, but it is certain that he will need to seek further medical treatment and possibly physical therapy.
Prior to the accident, Tyler was already experiencing financial hardships, living paycheck-to-paycheck. Now this has exacerbated this problem, now with a totaled car, mounting medical bills and wage losses. His job is physically demanding so it is still unknown when he will be able to work as he did prior to the accident.
His insurance will only pay a fraction of the actual damages, and to make matters worse, the police officer involved is immune from any liability due to Virginia’s “sovereign immunity,” which entirely shields police from any liability for damages they cause while responding to emergencies. This makes it impossible for Tyler to seek any damages from the officer as it would immediately be thrown out of court.
Please consider a donation to help Tyler get back on his feet while he heals and recovers from this experience.
