Tyler was the victim of a brutal hit and run in Vancouver and is lucky to be alive. However, like his services can be at times, his recovery will be painfully slow (especially for an extreme sport athlete) and now he needs the community to come together to help!

Tyler’s injuries are extensive and include:
3 skull fractures
Nerve damage of both left side face and elbow/arm
3 cracked ribs
Punctured lung
Broken Radius
Broken Ulna
Displaced hip
Cracked Femur
Broken Pelvis
….All on the left side of his body from the knee up. After a two full days of surgery, Tyler has more metal than the car that hit him.

Right, it’s time to put the jokes aside. .

Doctors say that he will not be able to walk or weight bare on his leg or arm for 6 - 10 weeks, will need to stay in a wheelchair, and due to all injuries being on his left side it significantly complicates his recovery and current living accommodations are not conducive. He is in great spirits and of course is healing and recovering faster than expected.

What We’re Raising Funds For:
As Tyler is self-employed as a mechanic, financial resources are limited to help, and he won’t be able to work as a mechanic for some time, the funds raised will go towards:
1. Accessible housing: a short-term rental in the Whistler/Sea to Sky area for at least 3 months that is wheelchair friendly with a bed and shower on the same floor and none to minimal stairs to access outside.
2. Medical-related travel: to Vancouver Extensive Physiotherapy

How You Can Help
If you’re able, please contribute to help Tyler get through this incredibly difficult time. Any amount will make a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this page with others is just as helpful.

Tyler has always been the first to step up when someone else needs support, is typically the life of the party and can make anyone laugh in the worst of situations — now he needs his community to rally around him. Let’s show him how much he’s loved and how awesome our community is.

It’s really not as fun to break this much when you aren’t on the mountain.
